If your car refuses to start, it may be a strong clue that there is a problem with your car’s ignition. In such a scenario, there is likely an issue with the solenoid that is not allowing enough current to flow from the battery to the starter.

This problem can be caused by age, faulty wiring, or excess heat or moisture that results in damage to electrical contacts. In some cases, you will hear a series of clicks or grinding noises when you try to start the engine. These noises may mean that the starter is in good condition but is suffering from a loose connection.

It may be possible to determine that the ignition is faulty by testing the battery or other electrical components within the engine. If these items are functioning as they should, you know that the starter likely needs to be reinstalled correctly or replaced entirely.
